Named after the book authored by Linda Cates Lacy, this nonprofit corporation is founded and operated by women Marines, dedicated to preserving military history and sharing veteran stories. The corporation focuses on charitable and educational purposes as outlined in Section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code.

The rich tapestry of military history includes the evolution of uniforms. Veteran stories often highlight the significance of these uniforms, showcasing the dedication and service of the veterans who wore them. Notably, the women's Marine Corps uniforms have evolved over time, reflecting the growing role of women in the military and their impactful contributions to history.

Donations assist with expenses related to the preservation of our rare historic military artifacts and uniforms, as well as education and public outreach initiatives. Once the 501(c)(3) status is approved, donations will be retroactively tax deductible as of 21 October 2025.
